Self promo flowery fun

Just for the heck of it we decided to bring out our inner hippy and create a very short organic flavoured animation promo piece involving some flowers.

The animation began life as a series of sculpted CGI flowers that change shape and opened over time. We then created some elaborate intertwining motion paths that the flowers grew along finally bursting into life at the end. Well, why not!

From start to finish we took five evenings to create these.

Our concept was akin to a mechanical jewellary box or traditional toy. We decided it would be fun to create a mechanised sequence that concludes with the unveiling of the nativity crib. In actual fact, the mechanism really would work, we designed it so that it could be created real world and all of the gears and cogs actually work correctly. At some point in the future we would love to get the elements 3D printed and put it together for real so, watch this space….
